  1. Do you have an affordable online source for natural yarns? Our nearby local source selection is limited to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. I’m finding their selection of 100% natural fibers is very slim and pricier than I had hoped for the qty you get. I just found a site online called www.knitpicks.com and the prices and selection appear to be much better than what I can find locally. Have you used this source, or do you have a different source you can recommend?
  2. Hi Kristie, The unicorn video (Part 1) starts making a loud squeaking noise and fast forwarding at 10:48. It stays in fast forward through the joining of the two legs and there aren't any oral explanations. At 12:10 the video freezes until it gets to 21:30, where the video comes on again with no sound and on fast forward. I downloaded the video to Real Player, but it does not fix the problem. Part 2 is fine, so it does not seem to be my computer. Nonetheless, I tried my laptop and my mother's computer, but the same problem appears on all systems. Please help. I am really hoping to finish this for my daughter's 6th birthday - on Thursday. Thank you, Sylvia

I have a lot of friends who use www.knitpicks.com and have heard great things about it. I also know a large number of mamas who sell hand dyed yarn on ETSY. I used to purchase from them on ETSY so I could buy my natural yarn and support mamas as well. However, now, I buy all my yarn locally because I like to combine the shopping with trips to local farms. So we have an interesting assortment of sheep, llaama and Alpaca yarn around here;) I found local places by Googling things like (my town) sheep, (my town) llaama, (my town) alpaca, (my town) local yarn, farm, etc... I have also found out about people from the local health food store that offers some of their yarn, from the Living History Farms (that actually sells a little yarn from their demos), from the farmer's market (where they sometimes sell yarn), from the local farm tours (where some of the host farms hosted other smaller farms were they sold yarn) and from www.LocalHarvest,com If you don't have any local sources then posting a desire for natural yarn to the waldorfschoolonline@yahoogroups.com list will probably get you a good ten or more mamas who sell on ETSY or other place online that would be happy to sell you yarn :) I love to use yarn with a story, with a good energy!

I have put up an alternate video for people who are also experiencing this issue. If you are someone checking the FAQs who has a problem with their unicorn video please e-mail me at: herbnhome@gmail.com so I can send you the new link.
