Local News subject: CASA YBEL RESORT.
>> Froilan Ramirez Jr., who has been named general manager of Sanibel Island’s Casa Ybel Resort, started with the property in 1995. His hire date was reported incorrectly in a recent Gulfshore Business Daily item.
I have the following comment due to the fact the release seems inaccurate:
I wished there was more explanation in this news release, I thought Cris Caine was replaced.
For the benefit of the Casa Ybel’s 3500 two bedroom time share owners, Mr. Cris Caine is still local manager for the Casa Ybel owners under the Hilton management contract.
We welcome Mr. Ramirez Jr. as manager of Casa Ybel amenities, Thistle Lodge, Front office, and other parts of the original Casa Ybel Resort.
The 3500 time share owners bought into this right of ownership already during the development of the present Casa Ybel Resort. They later lost the right to ownership almost “overnight”.
These original amenities were sold to the “Hospitality Group” by the Mariner developer without the approval of the 3500 Casa Ybel time share owners in order to create quickly needed cash to the Mariner developer.
This created a considered loss to the present and also original 3500 time shares right to total ownership of the Casa Ybel Resort..
If the 3500 owners had been asked to purchase, they would have been able to raise this cash very easily for Mariner and we would have remained one wholly owned resort under the combined timeshare and one bedroom wholly owned ownership.
The same 3500 individual time share owners were able to raise Millions of Dollars on their own in order to rebuild the Resort in 2004-2005 after the Hurricanes. And that would have made them owner of the total Resort.
So if you have any questions outside the Casa Ybel timeshare owner’s area of ownership, do not go to Mr. Cris Caine but to Mr. Ramirez Jr. “The General Manager” directly, although Mr Cris Caine represents almost 80 to 90% of the Casa Ybel taxable property. |
