My dear greyhound has been recently diagnosed with a bone tumour in the right femoral head and neck. My head is still spinning from all the consultations and treatment recommendations. The surgeon recommends complete amuputation of her hind leg with a portion of the pelvis. My Grey is 11 years old and I have decided to not put her through such a radical procedure. The option now is pain control and compassionate care. Have any other greyhound owners used medicaton for pain control with tumours and the results. I know this group has a better understanding of both the physical and emotional make up of this breed and could possibly help provide me with some practical information to assist me with my lovely lady. I love her to bits and do not want to subject her to extensive interventions because she stresses so easily.
