Yes, I have a dream...
you said: ...and may some of what you wish for come true. Now it´s time for a Reunion Concert with MMEB. In Germany, there are some Danceable Remakes of Blinded by the light and For You in the Charts. Pub and Dicos plays it up and down. Germany needs you with MMEB!! Do you remember Night of the Proms....so..I have nothing to add. Say..what must happen, to make the GREAT BIG REUNION come true? Let me see you in the biggest Hall in Hamburg Make it real! Hi Torsten, I somehow feel the need to react to your 'dream'. If you are a CT fan, why not also show some interest in what he's doing today instead of living in the past? If you attend shows like Night Of The Proms, Classics In Rock, a solo gig or a gig with Mads Eriksen for instance, then he still sings those MMEB songs you want to hear, so he's not letting fans like you down at all! But he can so much more that is worthwhile listening to. For example: have you ever heard him sing with the SAS Band, or do a Led Zeppelin song? That is sooo cool...and also what he's doing right now: this week I've been to the UK to see him perform in Jeff Wayne's TWOTW, and although he's of course not on stage during the entire show, what he did was great and it was a joy to see him being a part of an exciting event that is getting nothing but raving reviews. Life goes on, also for Chris...he really deserves more credit than just for his work with MMEB. When you broaden your musical horizon, then every show with CT can be a dream coming true for you

I certainly agree with Irma, but I understand Torstens dream too. I just "re-discovered" the old MMEB classics Questions and Redemption Song (the last one reminds of my service as a UN soldier in Lebanon in 1985 when I was 20), and I think Chris's voice on those songs is amazing. A reunion with MMEB would reach to so much more people (and also a new generation), and Chris Thompson and the others in MMEB deserves that. |

I highly doubt this would ever happen, but I've dreamed of it as well. They now have Noel McCalla on lead vocals, not bad, but not near the voice Chris has. He doesn't even fill half of Chris' shoes. I am a huge fan of MMEB, but an even larger fan of CT! We can just keep our fingers crossed and see what happens! -Nate Mayfield |
