"Perhaps because they were subjected to similar environmental pressures? That one ever occur to you? That's one of the major tenants of convergent evolution... and it doesn't take a "miracle"."

1. If mutations are random, explain in detail how and why novel or more complex traits evolve in unison with their diverged counterparts when exposed to similar environments.

2. Since you claim that a major tenant of convergent evolution is the same result for similar environmental pressures, explain in detail why placental and marsupial mammals evolved a different mechanism for reproduction if they had similar environmental pressures?

3. Be specific and explain exactly how much environments must match for convergent evolution to occur:
Note a previous posting:
“No, what he's saying is that we'll never get something evolving into a whale. Whales have an evolutionary history that is impossibe to replicate. We might get something very similar, but we'll never get an actual whale to evolve now.”

4. Since the first series of changes after the placental/marsupial split must have been completely different for each organism (otherwise, how would they have ‘diverged’?), that would mean that the subsequent molecular changes didn’t just change equally, but one miraculously evolved into accordance with its counterpart. Explain in detail how that would occur.

In regard to your comment:
“Halfway between where and where? Are they "done evolving" now?
All populations are in a CONSTANT state of evolving, always changing with the result of procreating better in their given environment. There is no "done".”

Since you believe that evolution is still occurring, please provide an example of just ONE novel or more complex trait that is beginning to appear in an existing population.

Replying to:

>Since evolutionists claim that marsupials parted ways over 180 million years ago,
>how did the placental counterparts of the marsupial mammals miraculously
>'evolve' the same set of genes?

Perhaps because they were subjected to similar environmental pressures? That one ever occur to you? That's one of the major tenants of convergent evolution... and it doesn't take a "miracle".

> ...about half way through their ‘evolution.'

Halfway between where and where? Are they "done evolving" now?
All populations are in a CONSTANT state of evolving, always changing with the result of procreating better in their given environment. There is no "done".
