HIJAB SUPPORT GROUP BY HIJABS FOR YOU

As-Salamu Alaikum

Welcome to our Hijab Forum. Feel free to post a message. This Forum was created as a support group for Muslimahs. If you have any questiosn or comments and want support or answers from other Muslimahs you can post them in this forum. I am not vouching to have all the answers to anyones questions but as I get plenty of e-mails from muslimahs with problems on the job with hijab or her family is muslim but does not want her to cover I decided that a forum support group would benefit them as well as other muslimahs who have been through the same thing or are dealing with that issues that I did not have to deal with. Your advice, experience, or knowledge can help another muslimah along the way of the straight path.

Ma Salam

Revert Stories or Growing Up Muslim

As -Salaamu Alaikum Sisters,

This post is for muslimahs to tell their story of how they reverted to Islam or grew up Muslim. Me, myself, I do not have much of a story as both my parents are muslim and I was born muslim. I know some muslims have a hard time growing up ecspecially in areas where there are not many muslims or any muslim schools or communities. I grew up in a muslim community until the age of I think seven. However I never had a hard time because seeing muslims were common in New York City. There are plenty of masjids around so surrounding your self with muslims was not hard at all. I went to a muslim school up until 8th grade and then on to a public highschool. There were a few muslims in my highschool so I never feel like I was alone. So M/A I had a pretty good experiences growing muslim.

Re: Revert Stories or Growing Up Muslim

Asalamu alaikum all.

well i have a little bit of time so here go my little story. i first wanna send a shout-out to all those who have embraced the hijab and all those who are seriously trying to, lol!

well i was born to a muslim father and a christian mother so you know a had problems to say the least, lol. i decided on my own when going to high school that i would start covering but even then it was such a struggle!

alhamdulilah though, i made it and 14 yrs later still holding tight to the rope of Allah. i kept my hijab thru many things, marriage and two kids, insha Allah i will do everything to empower my daughter so her muslim identity wont be such a struggle for her. its a joke to me when folks talk about taking of their hijab because it poses some kind of a threat in the West. All i have to say on that note is this; "nothing happens without the permission of Allah!!!"

understand that your Hijab is part of a testament of trust in your Lord, Allah!

and i'm outttttttttttttt...

Love

Re: Revert Stories or Growing Up Muslim

I don't know why but I love reading revert stories. Any how I was born Muslim and both of my parents are Muslim so I don't have a revert story of my own.
