HIJAB SUPPORT GROUP BY HIJABS FOR YOU

As-Salamu Alaikum

Welcome to our Hijab Forum. Feel free to post a message. This Forum was created as a support group for Muslimahs. If you have any questiosn or comments and want support or answers from other Muslimahs you can post them in this forum. I am not vouching to have all the answers to anyones questions but as I get plenty of e-mails from muslimahs with problems on the job with hijab or her family is muslim but does not want her to cover I decided that a forum support group would benefit them as well as other muslimahs who have been through the same thing or are dealing with that issues that I did not have to deal with. Your advice, experience, or knowledge can help another muslimah along the way of the straight path.

Ma Salam

Constant struggle wearing hijab

I have been Muslim for about 5 years now alhamdulila but I have this constant struggle with wearing the hijab all the time. It has always been uncomfortable for me even after all these years. I wear the wrap kind now because I think they look the nicest. I upgraded from the two piece ones haha but it is is SO hard to find them in all cotton and I cannot wear other materials because they make me so hot and slide off. Especially when it comes summer time and nice weather I feel such a strong urge to take it off :(. It comes to the point sometimes to where I dont even want to go outside because I have "get all dressed" and its such a bother . Anyone also have trouble? Its hard also because I dont have any muslim family or friends so I have no support at all besides my husband. I think if I did it would be much easier for me.

Re: Constant struggle wearing hijab

I understand how you feel.I have only been wearing a hijab for a year now but at times i want to just take it off. I,like you, have no Muslim friends or family members around me besides my father, so i have no one that can relate to me.I wear a wrap as well and i find the thin ones work the best. You can also find online ways to keep the thinner materials from slipping.

Good luck,
Mya
