Today's (June 21, 2008)surface finds
I managed to stumble over a few points at my ranch in Coke County, Tx. today. The first point is a pedernales, then I found a Nolan, and finally a decent Basetang knife. Can anyone type the knife for me. Roy Mills

Hi Roy- Well, three good points like that surface hunting now days isn't too bad a day. As far as the basal tang is concerned, don't recsll ever seeing one like that before, I'm stumped. Anyway, that's a pretty good day.

Hi Roy , , , , , , cant be too many other people walking around your property if those beauties were laying around in the open.
Re the mystery point, hows the base of the stem look to you ? If broke off clean maybe it was a perforator
for a special job, like drilling a hole for a left hand thread !
Other than that, check PAROWAN in the SW section of the book.
How important is it to you to get your ID's perfect?
