Cookbook From Grove Area

I am looking for a cookbook that was published last year (10/2006 I think) by a lady in the Grove area. They were family receipes of homecooking covering all areas from meats to desserts to vegetables, and everything in between.

The recipes had cute names, I remember. There was an article in the local area shopper paper. I have called the paper, with no luck.

The book sold for $10.00. My father wanted to purchase this for members of our family. He passed away recently, I wanted to follow through for him.

Will do some asking around jayhawkteri, and see if I can come up with some information for you. We do not have that book here in the store.

Re: Cookbook From Grove Area

Thanks for the question, I'm thinking that the cookbook you are looking for is by a group of ladies called "Santa's Old Broads", all of the proceeds from the book go to buy toys for children. They have done a 2nd book this year, I'm unsure of the name of it - probably "Santa's Old Broads 2". There was an article in the Chronicle about them last week and they were doing a book signing at the Heritage Mall, you might check with them - 786-9495. I just talked with the gals at the Wax Bucket - they carry them also, there are 3 now in the series. Their phone number is 787-5400.

Thanks for the inquiry and happy hunting!!
