Welcome!
Hi and welcome to the forum! My name is Andrea, I am 24 years old, and a recovered anorexic and bulimic. I am the author of "You Are Not Alone - The Book of Companionship for Women struggling with Eating Disorders" (www.youarenotalonebook.com) and creator of www.eating-disorder-information.com I am so happy and grateful for being healthy again and now it is my passion to provide support, comfort and hope to individuals struggling with eating disorders. I want you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE and that recovery IS possible. This forum is for everyone with any type of eating disorder who wants to interact with others and talk about emotions and issues surrounding the battle and recovery from an eating disorder. A place where you can find the strength and support you need to take on the road to recovery!!! I invite you to post messages, ask questions, share experiences and provide support. Hi Andrea, Thank you for the support. There is sexual abuse in my past. I would sure like to talk with someone that can relate on that level. Please send them my way and/or offer recommended reading on the issue. This is still a huge dark "secret" I'm keeping from my family. |

I can't even tell you how much I appreciate your website. This is the first time I've ever been on a "Anti-ana" site rather than a "pro-ana" site. I also have dealt with my eating disorder for 6 years (anorexia) and my boyfriend has changed my life so much by making me realize I am beautiful on the inside. I went ahead and purchased your book and I will be posting frequently. Thank you so much for offering your support and help and I hope you have a great week!
