Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
Of course you are not talking about Hebrew Israelites, because Hebrews are a nation of people, they can never be a building. You are a mean can of beans; fellow. Why do you want to know anyway? Are you trying to start another seperation? Leave it up to Keter the Holy family are Jews now and Israelite are just a thing of the past. Let's see what special name you can come up with for the chosen people. The punishment is almost over and the Israelites will prevail just like it was told4T by the Most Great. Keep staying above 6 Feet.

Dear Noseh,
if you would read some Jewish books written in Hebrew or Aramaic or in the blend of both of these languages (especially devout and pious books), you would see, that in the absolute majority of them, when Jew or Jews are meant, there is clearly written Yisra'el (i.e. Israelite). All these arguments about Israelite or Jewish are simply useless. In Hebrew language both these words are synonymous.

Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
You are right Ruth we should not argue any more about Jews. I should not argue with people who want to paint history another way. As long as I know the truth that's all that matter. A hundred years from now when blacks are owning this world, I hope they don't say that Hitler killed thousands of Hebrew Israelites because you and I know that hundreds and thousands of Jewish people were murdered by him. I wonder what the difference will be? I know, I know you and I will be dead by then. What you and Traci don't realize --history goes on and on and on and on. Everything is suppose to stay the same including names, places, things and words. That is how the Hebrew Israelite family can stand the test of time and how you can have my family history as a way of life. All I'm trying to tell you and Traci is when you write or talk about my way of life tell it or write it the way it is suppose to be written or told. We will always have a problem when white people come to a black website because they act like they own everything and black people are wrong all the time. Is it still your job to kick down black people even on a black website? Get a life. What you all need to do is stop commenting on the things that I write. That way your words wont have to get ugly. Somebody get this girl some make up please.

Dear Noseh,
First: I'm human being
and then anything else – i.e. Jewish; black etc.
Are you a seer, that you know the colour of my skin?
Anyway I didn't come here to kick down anybody. If I did, I'm sorry, but I have thought that we are discussing. Shalom ve-shavua tov le-kulkhem.

Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
Now that's funny! You think I'm white. Well let's see; my mom can trace her ancestry back to the last slave ship that docked in Alabama. My dad CAN’T trace his ancestry as a result of the auction block. Also, I've been told that I look like a descendant from a tribe in Ghana. So, no, I’m not white. I don’t even pass and I don’t need to. I wear my ‘blackness’ proudly. But again, that’s not the point. You thought that I was white because I don’t find my value in the extra melanin in my skin but through the closeness I seek with Hashem. It’s not what I look like that matters. What matters is what I value, and what I value is what Hashem values; His commandments, His statues, His ordinances, His testimony, His greatness. Bottom line: It ain’t about me.
So tell me this, at what point in the text does it say that black people will own the world? Quite the contrary, Hashem said, “I know every bird of the mountains, and what creeps on My fields is with Me. Even were I hungry I would not tell you, for Mine is the world and its fullness.” (Psalms 50:11-12) At what point in the text does Hashem say He is going to transfer ownership of the world to black folks? I must have missed it somewhere. Point it out to me.
I want to point out this though, I seems that instead of worshipping the Most High, you are actually worshipping yourself based upon some effigy of ‘greatness’ afforded by your black skin. It seems that you value yourself more than you value G-d. I understand that the Cherry’s, and the Crowdy’s the of the 1800’s sought to discover the worth and the identity of a race after being lost, decimated and debased by their oppression. And in doing so, it was the worship of the true G-d, however misguided, that elevated them. I say misguided because, if I understand you correctly, you believe in jesus which basically means you are still a xian not a jew but, I digress.
Don’t you think we have arrived at a point in history where we can deal with the ills of today’s social engineering but still look beyond our pain and only see the Greatness of Hashem? Can’t we remove ourselves from the equation to realize that no other greatness is needed besides His?
I know at times the words seem so ugly. But, sometimes when the truth hits you, it hurts. But don’t cover it up; embrace it.

One more thing Noseh,
I agree that recorded history should remain the same; names, dates, places, times, etc. But, rather than regurgitating history we should be learning from it and work towards progress.
To quote George Santayana: "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
Today is a good day above ground. Tracie, I was wrong about your color. Sorry very much. For the record I'm a Levite and proud of it. There will be a time when Israel will be the head of this world because that was promised by The Most Great. Israel is like a speckled bird right not and the color of my skin is not the minority because all of the Israelite woman were not raped. If I offended you by thinking that black Hebrews will be mighty again please forgive me. Plus, I don't worship any being beside The Most Great because it is against his law. I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I believe JC never lived on this world never walk, talked or breath on this world that The Most Great made in only six days. One rose plus another rose is almost a dozen.

Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
Noseh, how do you know that you are a Levite? Did you get the blessing of being able to track your ancestry so far back? I mean to be a Levite is pretty cool but I was under the impression that because of our people being brought here that most of us have lost our roots.............Please share. I am genuinely wondering as I have found it to be very hard to find who I am aside from the basic half Puerto Rican half Black part on the surface. Oh did I mention that I have some Indian in there too...LOL

Re: How many Black Synagogues in US
When the sound hit my ears from the Cohen "What family name do you want to have?". I thought it was a great question because I needed to identify with one of the twelve tribes in order to really be part of the holy family. I figure since I've been a Hebrew all my life, that was the right time to get serious. A righteous voice came to me out of nowhere and said Levite. I thought it over real fast and knew it was right because I have a helpful spirit. I like helping people out with their problems. Plus, when I was an eleven year old I read the whole bible by myself without any one telling to do so. I tried reading it for a second time, but I could not read the new testament a second time because it read like a riddle instead of coming to the point like the first books, so I could only read the first books twice. while reading the books twice as a child I gained knowledge, wisdom and understanding about life. Also, while I was reading the books I felt sorry for The Most Great because He helped my ancestor over and over again, but they never got life right. So what was embedded in me long ago was to help people understand life if they like it or not. Levite came out of my soul and I've been one ever since. If I'm wrong only The Most Great knows and I'd rather leave it on him because if I leave it up to a man and DNA they can make it be whatever they want it to be. When I'm standing at the Book Of Life I'll find out then- if I'm wrong or right. Praise The Most Great don't leave him.
