Battersea Barge - Parking/end time?

Just a couple of questions about the barge gig.. I'm debating with myself whether to use the car or public transport options.

What time does the gig normally end? My last train from Vauxhall is something like 12:30.. Is that likely to cause me to miss the end?

And if I go for the other option.. What's parking like around the barge? Where's the best place to aim for?

Thanks very much in advance to anybody that can offer advice.

The gig should definitely be over by 12.30! I think last year we finished by about 11.15, so you shouldn't have a problem with the trains. As for parking, Nine Elms Lane itself is a no-parking zone anywhere near the Barge, although you may be able to park in Ponton Road opposite (though I couldn't swear to this - you used to be able to but things might have changed). Or you could park up somewhere nearby and go by bus, 44 or 344.
See you there!

....furthermore Andy, if you're driving up from Brighton, give Step a lift! I can vouch for his sanity - he was also at the Marlborough gig, and HE didn't drop ANY of the performers... He also makes his own rather splendid Philip Jeays t-shirts, so he must be alright...

Re: Re: Battersea Barge - Parking/end time?

Well, thanks a bunch for reminding me about that.. The embarrassment was just beginning to creep into my subconscious, but no, there it is up front again!

I'm currently planned to be working in London that day, as I do most Tuesdays.. I was thinking of getting the wife to drive in if it was a late do, but given your info about times and the fact that she detests driving in London, I think we'll probably train as originally planned.

If things change, I'll certainly let Step know.

Cheers Phil, see you there.

Cringle Street is where you want, same side as The Barge, ok after 6.30pm, just a few minutes walk away. I always leave the hearse there.
