Could this have been in Curbridge.
I know that he worked on the railway and was a widower who married a widow Hannah (Late Cox formerly Cook)

Saw your message in the Curbridge Forum. My husband's ancestor Richard Hickman married Elizabeth Beacham on 28th January 1782 in St Mary's Church Witney. We think they lived in Curbridge. They had a son William baptised 25 December 1782. Could there be a tie-up?
