The Bravenet service doesn't really protect anything.
If someone knows the address of the "protected" page and enters its URL in their browser's address bar, or has bookmarked it or someone emails them a link to the page, they can view it directly with no problem.
There are other, more positive ways to implement passwords that may do what you want. Try a Google search.
with the password protect service it only takes you to the page you don't want a link to in your navigation area for your site
as mentioned it can be bypassed as well people can bookmark the link the PG login takes you to and just do it that way and you won't have to login on the page where you have the PG
