Re: domain not registered

William,

Where are you seeing the domain is not registered? When you log into your Bravenet account and click the 'domains' tab do you see your domain?

Courtnie

Re: domain not registered

yes, but when i go directly to the URL and type my site sddress: www.williamalvarezcalosite.com, opens in the bravonet saying that the domain hasn't been configurated.
Thank you Courtney fro your support!

Re: domain not registered

give it time to propogate you just purchased it

it doesn't pop up online right away.

Give it till Wednesday or Thursday and then you should see your placeholder index.html page

then you can make your index.html page and publish it

if you know html and designing you can start making your site on your computer and just upload/publish files when you are fully able

Re: domain not registered

Just a guess, but...

It looks as if you have purchased a domain, but have not purchased hosting.

or...

If you're planning to use that domain name with a free account at Bravenet, you have not yet configured the domain name to point to your free Bravenet account.

There are other possibilities. What needs to happen next depends on what you have done already, and what you want the end result to be. We (your fellow, volunteer Bravenet users) know neither of those facts.

Re: domain not registered

If it takes you to Bravenet then it is registered. If it wasn't registered you would just get a "page not found" message from your browser.

Pointing your domain at a web site is a different issue and that is the bit that you have to do.
