Hi Beth. I looked at the website to check what was available as well, and you are correct, only some FGH units are currently available from owners directly. The 2 bedroom units rented through the resort office are either in FGH or IJK as both of those condos are 2 bedroom. I suppose you could ask the resort office for a rental in an IJK building rather than FGH if you are set on a unit there. I own in building I and have friends who own in building H. Both units are very nice and essentially the same, so I don't think you would be disappointed in either area. IJK is a bit more isolated from the pool area and each building has only 6 condos, so that might play into your thinking. As far as price, you will certainly get a better rate from an owner directly since the resort management charges owners a 35% rental commission. Good luck and enjoy Casa Ybel. Thank you so much for your reply. My understanding is that washer/dryer units are available in units located in buildings IJK and therefore are more appealing that renting others.

FGH units have washers and dryers at ground level under the buildings, with plenty of machines.
All for owners (and guests)use at no cost.

Don't forget- FGH units I believe are smaller units and bedrooms are reversed if not mistaken!!

Also IJK has (6) single story units, handicap accessable, and are also 2 bedroom units.

We own in IJK and the units are very nice.
From time to time we have also rented in FGH and although abit different they are really quite nice and you get abetter view of the ocean because IJK view is now blocked off abit with the mangroves growing higher.
The washers and dryers are in each unit of IJK but really the ones under the buildings in IJK are not too inconvenient.
No matter which ones you rent you should be happy as they all offer different advantages.
The stairs on the top level can be a hassle and you have no beach access direct.
If you end up with an upper in FGH make sure you ask for help with luggage/groceries whatever.They are very helpful and will be there to help in 5 minutes...normal tipping policy is fine id you get help.

I have an upper unit in building I and the view of the beach is totally unobstructed. Lower units in that building still have a good view of the beach although you have to overlook the foilage some. The advantage of those units is their direct access to the beach out the back porch.
