What Casa Ybel has done is piggyback Wi-Fi off their Embarq DSL modems through wireless access points in certain rooms.

The end result is somewhat weak and sporadic as the access points are located both below the buildings and in every other upstairs unit. If an owner or renter disconnects the modem from the access point for Wi-Fi in one of the upstairs units and plugs it directly into their notebook/netbook as an Ethernet connection, the other upstairs unit next door loses Wi-Fi, and has to revert to an Ethernet connection themselves to the DSL modem.

If you call the front desk and complain that you have no Wi-Fi signal, they'll send Todd over to troubleshoot the problem, but if it's next door, that becomes a problem.

Very confusing and a troublesome connection system at best.
