What plan is that??????

The plan was described by Lynn Perkins in July (see page 5 for the thread – “Interlopers). Lynn was reluctant to provide specifics in the forum, but offline told me that Casa Ybel personnel would be patrolling the parking lots (especially for buildings H, I, J, and K) looking for trespassers. I intend to discuss this plan with Chris Cain shortly after we arrive in a couple weeks and try to make sure that there is execution.

The new sofa in the living room has such high arms in renders the end tables useless. I cannot imagine any rational for selecting this sofa. They are ugly, uncomfortable and the worst mistake in refurbishing that I have seen in over 30 years as an owner. I hope next year we will see this error corrected.

Finally someone agrees! I have been in contact with Pres. Perkins and Chris and they seem to feel that all is well. Latest from Mr. Perkins was that three companies submitted bids and the entire voted for the furniture.....not viewing it, just from pictures! He also told me that there was nothing they could or would do until 3 - 4 years when it comes time to look into replacement again. My interpution is that it wasn't Chris' decision, it wasn't the decorator's decision, but rather it was the whole Board's decision. They weren't even purchased locally so we are stuck with these sofas that would look far nicer in the lobby of the Elk's Club!!!

What an unfortunate mistake. My whole family of 12 find it hard to believe that we purchased these sofas. We have 3 units in wk 49 and 0ne in week 48

May I suggest that you let the Board know how well you liked the sofas. Pres. Perkins tells me that he has received several good comments on the sofas but as yet has failed to give me just one name. If no one complains, the Board will just sit back, dumb, and happy thinking that they did a wonderful job, which we now know was a perfect example of ineptitude.

Will do. I personally haven't found Lynn to be very receptive to my comments or inquiries.

The challenge will be to make sure our comments flow to the board members in office when the next purchases are made. This current crew could be totally replaced in a few years.

Dale and Ray (or anyone else with an opinion), were you able to evaluate the comfort level of the sofa as a bed? Previous iterations were somewhat rough. We were planning to bring aerobeds, but I would rather not if the sofa is reasonably comfortable.

Sorry George, I can not comment on the comfort of the sofa as a bed, however as a sofa, not very comfortable. Perhaps you can chect it out for us. This could be the one redeeming factor.
