I have unit 183-H during week 19...have not been down to Casa Ybel in years and plan on making that trip this year. I do not remember what is and what is not supplied as far as inventory - do they supply things like soap, dish suds, paper towels, toilet paper, alum foil....???? Appreciate any help you can give me before we pack the car.
Your week 19 is from Friday May 10 to Friday May 17.
How did you go for years without using it?
I would call Casa Ybel and talk to Cris Cain before you make the trip.
Do you mean to say you have paid maintenance fees every year, and never used it?
Did you ever try to recover your annual expenses by renting your unoccupied unit to guests any year you could not use it yourself?
That is what this owners web site is for.
All you need to bring is your toothbrush!
Catch up with your lost times and enjoy, you might be back next year!
Thank you, Carl, for your reply....we have been living in Michigan for the last 17 years and only came down one time during those years. However, I co-own with my other 3 sisters and we all love Casa Ybel....my dad and mom came every year until their recent passing. We have rented our week so know it pays for the maintenance.
Just moved back to Port St. Lucie, FL, last May and am looking forward to the trip. Our toothbrushes have been packed!
They do not supply alum foil U will need to bring all your personel grooming supplies --toothpaste makeup etc i always bring soap too. Towels toliet paper paper towels dish wash soap etc are supplied. If U are flying U may want to buy some stuff when U get there
As stimulating as this digressional dialogue is, I do have comments apropos the original topic of this thread. When arriving, check the inventory in your unit against the inventory list, and do a quick functional check (disposer, door locks, etc.). If there are any shortages, contact Housekeeping; if there are any functional issues, contact Maintenance (or the front desk). Over the years, we have experienced many cases of items that were missing (e.g. utensils), as well as things broken, such as the porch door lock not working). Both the Housekeeping and Maintenance crews are very good at correcting issues, but they need to know about them.
It’s best to catch these things right away, rather than when you absolutely need that blender or sauté pan. Also, keep up with the needed repairs as the week progresses. The only (or, at least, major) reason there are shortage and functional issues when you arrive is because your predecessors did not report them. It might sound sappy, but we should strive to leave the unit in better shape than we found it.
Jones,
Thanks for your reply to my post; it helped with my packing. I am also packing my "waffle maker" because we love waffles in the AM (after hunting for shells)!
Waffle Maker????? Wow, I bet that's really easy and light to deal with. I like rotisserie chicken, but never thought about bringing my Showtime grill with me. I hope she made enough for everyone!!!
