I really didn't follow the Ulanov thing. Maybe I'm describing the same situation, but what about this scenerio:




A team gets a penalty called against them in regular season OT with less than 2 minutes remaining in the OT. So it's 4 skaters against three. Now you can't play with less than 3 skaters, so what's to stop the team that is a man down from tackling any player trying to score on their goal? You can't play 4 on 2. correct? Or does the team on the powerplay get to add a fifth skater in this instance and make it five on three?

Teams with nothing to lose, with more open ice ... leads to more exciting hockey. I get up for regular season OT today. In years past, you could safely turn off your set.
