I found an interesting blog about a woman who is touring the nation trying to get women to shift their spending on green things or businesses to help change the world and send a message to business that we don't want to create such waste anymore! Since 80% of consumer purchases are done by women, that would be a monumental shift in demand on the market. It would demand industries reduce pollution, focus on renewable resources for production, increase demand for recycling....etc.

Another take on being green is to reduce your demand on anything you buy.....trying not to buy anything new. We already have everything we need....almost too much. So, buy essentials at thrift shops etc....
