Recycle old dryer?

Hi,

Anyone know what I can do with my old dryer? It broke, so we had to get a new one. Is there a place where it can be recycled?
any info is greatly apperciated!

Re: Recycle old dryer?

On the website's recycling resource page there's a link for RecycleWorks. You can put in what you're trying to recycle and your zip code and it will return a list of places that will take it:

You can also always try a FREE - PLEASE TAKE THIS type listing on craigslist.com - you never know what someone is looking for.

Re: Recycle old dryer?

We got rid of an old washer and dryer that were not working a while back. It was some type of recycle program through Sears I think. You leave a check for $20 (I think that is how much) inside the washer or dryer after you leave it on your curb, and they pick it up and take to recycling for you. If I have a chance to look it up, I will let you know, but check with Sears or on their website. I can't remember the name of the company that recycled it. Sorry.
