Struggling Organic Farmer at the Market

Struggling Organic Farmer at the Market

I want to mention again that there is a very nice local farmer at the farmer's market who sells certified organic food. He also sells the best eggs I have every tasted. You buy them from him, you know they are very fresh and they are free range eating very healthy food. He is very local....located in Pescadero near Phipps ranch.

He is struggling because, from my understanding, he rents his land, pays fees to be certified organic and other fees that I don't quite understand. BUT he can't sell at any markets such as New Leaf, Cunha or Whole Foods because he would have to pay exorbatent liability insurance (to protect retailers from rare outbreaks such as salmonella). He only sells at our Farmer's Market. He also takes crates, berry baskets, and egg cartons to re-use. So check him out!

He is located right next to Tunitas Creek Ranch. If you face them, he is always the booth on the right side. Or check with Erin at the Farmers Market Admin booth to see where he is.
