Speaking of housing, don't know if you watch my favorite "get it sold" or "fix it up" shows on HGTV, but the tide has turned in favor of green. They now "recycle" most of what they remove from "fixit" projects, talk about eco paint, put in eco friendly floors, re-use anything they can, and talk about green every opportunity they have. If you happen to view one of the episodes from 2 years ago, it will make you sick at your stomach, but give them some credit and give us some feedback about how "green" their products are.

They are making a stab with overlay cement countertops put right over the existing ones, bamboo and sustainable (and beautiful) flooring, native plants, energy efficient lighting, etc. The truth be known, their influence is widespread and a bunch of folks who never thought about green are at least hearing a consistent message.
