My Dad and I got out for a bit of head hunting on Friday. We got about 30 miles down the road when I realized I had forgotten my camera. Sorry, no insitu shots.
The first pic is the group. Dad found the petrified wood point, which we haven't bothered to ID yet. He also found the tip, the drill, and the petrified wood tool. The tool has very fine flaking along the bottom edge.
I found the big one. I believe it's an Adena. Anyone back me up on this?
Those petrified wood points are very interesting---petrified palm wood can be found all over Texas, but finding a point made of petrified wood is not very common.
