Rifle flints?

A friend of mine sent this to me. Does anyone know of someone who has this knowledge?

[Actually, I'm trying to get someone to teach me how to make rifle flints.
I shoot a flintlock and have access to Georgetown Black but need to learn
how to do it.]

Thanks

Re: Rifle flints?

you knapp them into a triangular or rectangular shape. pretty easy to do with percussion flaking

Re: Rifle flints?

I am the one who asked about making rifle flints. Unfortunately, the techniques you refer to are unknown to me, I am completely ignorant of how to do anything with flint. I'm looking for someone to teach me how to do the things you're talking about.

Re: Rifle flints?

There is an indian artifact show coming up soon that I can either teach you at, or introduce you to a friend who can teach you how to make them.

I specialize in pressure flaking, my friend knows percussion flaking.
