Do you know what period the tangs come from? Age wise?
I have always been interested in these tangs. Were they mostly used as knifes or scrapers? I figures they were from the way they were mounted.
Mark, they usually occur in context with Marcos points, placing them in the 600 bc -200 ad range. But they also can occur in late Castroville horizons - early Ensor periods. Early ones, made by Castroville folk, will exhibit mostly heavy precussion flaking with light edge retouch.
