Has anyone been to camp live oak? How is the digging there? They charge 40.00 for 1/2 day for digging.
I am thinking about going there this summer for a week of camping and was wondering about the camp and if it was a good place to kick back and relax.
Has anyone found anything worthwhile there. The web sight seems like a nice place but I need some feedback.
Thanks
Mark

My family and I went to camp Live Oak a little over a year ago. We were camping at Garner. Just a short drive to Camp Live Oak. We spent 1 day digging and found several nice arrowheads, many preforms, a sharpening stone with a deep groove down the middle, a knife blade and some other stuff. My wife found a Frio laying on top of the ground. I spent all day digging and the kids came and went. My wife just did a little surface hunting. Cost me $80 and we really got our $ worth. I want to go back and stay at the cabins there. Great place to hang out by the river and to search. Good Luck.
Me and my husband have been going to Camp Live Oak for sometime now and we have had alot of luck finding arrowheads there. As a matter of fact we found a 6 inch cornertang knife there. It was a find of a lifetime. We have found alot of other points also. It is worth going. The cabins are great and it is beautiful there. We really enjoy going there.
