Did anyone see the special on the history channel about the Iceman that was found in 1991 by the Austrian hikers. The story is old but forensic scientist wanted to find out how he died. Very interesting. They prooved that the iceman died of bleeding out as a result of an arrowhead found lodged near his heart. Apparently he was shot from behind at approximately 30 yards. He also had multiple wounds as a result of a possible scuff with somebody previous to his fatal blow. Forensic science today is awesome!
Sure did. They did a re-enactment after finding a point lodged in his back. They had his preserved body for awhile until they decided to do an MRI on it and found the point. They figured by the depth of the point, he was shot at 50yds. Pretty good shot too.
For a 5000 yr old deadman this guy is aheadline hound. Hot off the press in the July national geographic.......SeeNGM.com/0707 click latest features then last hours.... SH
