Help Identify

I was out the other day and found this ring that is made out of what
appears to be wood.Possibly bone though. They have a ham bone type of
a look to them.I would not think too much of it but I found another
one about 150 yards away. They both have striations on them. What do
you suppose they could be? This is a known camp sight. The pictures
are poor but maybe someone has found simular pieces.

Re: Help Identify

modern man has been discarding ham bones for the past 200 years in this part of the country, so my money says ham bones. i see what appears to be saw marks, don't know that indians had saws.
Happy hunting,
RGS

Re: Help Identify

Thanks Glenn. I do believe you right. This area was farm land after the big NA pushout in the late 1700s.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
