Well my grandfather has passed. But in his younger days he ran all the
creeks and rivers in the Austin and Georgetown. He grew up in Liberty Hill.
And the fields below the old liberty church was where he picked cotton
as a kid and lived in a log cabin. He said he use to find mini balls in
the fields. When he was older he use to catch bait to make extra money.
It was on one of these occasions he found this knife. He told me it was
in the South San Gabriel. His name was Raymond Butler and when he kept
his artifacts in a coffee can for years. He heard that I had picked up
the hobby in the 90's he decided to give me his. This is definetly the
best one he had. I believe he lost some others. There is another spear
like point that people tell me is a knife that may have been a spear point
that broke.
