WOW! That's some impressive pieces of wood there. I have several good chunks myself that came out of the Sabine. One is over 4 feet long but not quite as wide as the big one you have here.

Actually they all came from one specific area within 1/4 mile of each other. They were just there sticking out of the ground. Some pieces have some sort of crystalization within the wood.

There are some collectors out there who only collect points made of petrified wood.

They are hard to find, I have only about 4-5 of those, mostly tortugas. I'll post the pictures, maybe you can help ID them.
