strange point

does anyone know of a culture that used limestone for points? I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it, but a friend bought one at the show as an oddity and it has all of us puzzled. Thanx for the help.

Re: strange point

Sure have seen them, the ones I saw were from a Tonkawa site in Williamson County, made from hard crystaline Edwards Limestone. Some of it is hard enough that it flakes much like flint.

Re: strange point

Well now Larry, I have some points from my Father's collection made from odd materials including one made from sandstone .
