weekend at Rio Bravo

Me and my wife drove out to the rio bravo ranch for the memorial day weekend from louisiana to dig for some texas points and we did not leave dissappointed. Thanks to Ken for his hospitality. We dug one day and screened the next and found several nice points. We plan on coming back ASAP

Re: weekend at Rio Bravo

I plan on going soon to this ranch and was wondering what type of points are being found and if there is some good hand digging left?

Re: weekend at Rio Bravo

Quote from a visitor:

"In addition to my points, I saw a couple nice Travis/Nolan types that were complete. Another complete point I saw looked like a Matamoros or Tortugas. Lots of incomplete but very well made Montells, Morrills, and Pedernales points. I'm sure some points probably slipped through the cracks. The apertures on the screen are probably too large. I did catch a Montell go through out of the corner of my eye. Luckily I found it under the table.
Ken was very helpful. He even made me lunch because I didn't have a chance to pick something up on the way. It is a 4 hour drive for me.
The place is well worth it and I will likely go back when I get a chance."
