Postmaster General got one of his staff to drop off the new TXCH magazine
at my place again. Always good material and special food for the gray matter.
10 inch blade made out of reddish brown OBSIDION. Sounds like the Tiffany lamp
of the ancients.
An article sent in by a very lucky OHIO surfacer [ NOT from the present blizzard conditions ]
In situ pics of TWO seperate hard stone axes found in the same camp area.
An article by our very own TRAVIS with interesting facts on the D2 site. Of special interest to me, he notes there were MAMMOTH tusks and bones found
on the banks of the property's creek that feeds into
the BRAZOS. I always promote how much "material" finds it's way down the Brazos. . . .
Another thousand years or so and those tusks would have been headed for the Gulf of Mexico
Got another new mag in the mail yesterday. Lots of good news from around TX, sorta the pick of the crop.
I continue to be surprised how often they arrive. . . supposed to be one every 3 months, feels more like every 6 weeks [ time flies when having a good time!]
