Found this in a plowed field on the camp I've been digging on for awhile on the way to a rodeo Saturday night. A Godley?...
The pottery and bottles were next to the point. I thought at first the pottery might have been Native American but now that I found the bottles I'm
thinking the pottery is not.
Trav. . . .YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE WALKING DISAPOINTMENT !
When I spotted your post and the date, my heart lept
with joy, I thought,,,"HE'S DONE IT " especially when
I got a flash of pictures before reading the words !
I really figured. . . He's closed on his new property
Saturday and found a MIDDEN under his new garage. . .
WOO-HOO, another invite to a digfeast.
Immagine my let down to find it's just some "things"
you stumbled over in a **** field !
I'm too tearfull to offer a typing on that flint !
. . . . . .
Ha! I know I know. I have often wished I could have as good of luck as Leonard. Buying a piece of property and having a campsite on it. What are the chances? I am however, purchasing a home within 2 mile of the brazos. In fact, the house is just off of grindstone creek. hmmm.....
