here are the pics from chrisners not the mother load but ir was fun

Photobucket

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

It is the mother load compared to my day of digging.

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

As humble as they may be Josh, those are excelent for
a one day shot into an area as large as Chrisners !
It takes time [ numerous visits ] to ANY site to find a producing, undug level

Cant see thickness very well in the pic on that round one, possibley a "game stone"
or a "tapper" IF one side is polished, it could be a
mini Mano [ used for herbs & spices ]

Good show. . .

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

I think the round on on the left is a scraper it is diffrent from the others i find its notched around the outside. The bigger round on i think was a small mano its pretty thick and just the right size to be one but its chipped on the underside just a little bit. I started didding on the side of one of the hills rather than digging in the lower creek level like most have been. I dug 2 inches down and about 3 feet wide and found that longer tip and the preform. I think ill stick to that area when i go back, it seems undisturbed.

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

The one on the top left looks like one that Geo may have knapped a while back. You know the one that can shoot around corners.

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

J, Never dug, side of a hill, near a camp, with that much worked pieces will
eventually turn up something complete !. .

I am one of the ones that dug the " Lower creek ", seven feet of silt . . . ZIP. .

Re: chrisner finds 10-5-08

thanks for the input hal i think ill stick to the same spot when i go back to chrisners
