Re: Maybe this time???

It worked finally.
Was it tied to the lanyard when you found it. And you mentioned it was found next to a mound what kind of mound?

Re: Maybe this time???

Some barbarians tore up the BRM with a bobcat and i found this point/piece next to the area where the sifter was. Yes the lanyard was there. I've been surface hunting for over 20 yrs. and have never seen anything like this.....Is it real???? I have lots in my collection. Not like this...

Re: Maybe this time???

Hi T, My guesstimate is that one of those profesionals lost it. Since they find
points by the hundreds, it's logical to assume the guy liked that one,
I suspect the flint is authentic

The lanyard looks like the Target brand boot lace,

Nice coloration

But what does the choice of the flaking quality say about the guy ?

Re: Maybe this time???

I wouls have to agree with Hal.
Unless this was found in a dry cave out west I would say the founder put this leather lace on it.
Nice piece though
