Mammoth

I read in yesterdays paper about DNA of the wooley mammoth the article claims they can build one from recovered frozen hair.
Living things that died off upto 100k years ago can still have clean dna samples.Quess they just kinda clone it.
What have you heard or think on the Wooley Mammoth subject?

Re: Mammoth

Lots of people working on the Dino reborn project, the movie rights alone
should pay for the developement. . .
In the two hour documentary about the Siberian Mammoth they found it was mentioned and just like the
movies. . . they have to start with a modern animal to
get the old DNA working it's magic !!

Turtle ? Moose ? Earthworm ? Ohioian ?

Re: Mammoth

Yeah, I can see the sequal now.........Plesticene Park...starring Harrison Ford (alive & well, but older than dirt).

Re: Mammoth

Yea interesting , reminds me when they crossed that elephant with a rhino, every one keep asking what it was . The reachers only reply was ellifino

Re: Mammoth

Ohioian Hal??? I resemble UMMMM resent that LOL

Re: Mammoth

Well at least it's universally agreed that to pull off the dino rebirth,
SOME existing creature has to be nominated. . SmileyCentral.com
