Dug this stuff This morning. Something came up at home need to get home. Not wanting to pack up my tools unwillingly did so at 10 am. Not the best finds But my test hole may have some decent artifacts in it.

So if it gets light at 0714, and you left at 1000A thats a lot of worked pieces in a short time.

Any pecking on the Markasite ? Pics hard to see but it's perfectly round
enough to have been a game ball

SH no pecking but some grinding or polishing on the roundy thing but it was found on top of a cover pile of rocks. As I removed the rocks I did find 3 cobbles surrounded by ashes or charcoal.Small heat treat furnace maybe. Each cobble has one large flake knocked off guess they were just peeking inside. Also reporting alot of crumbled sandstone which does not seem to be a natural deposit. it is mixed with alot of flint flakes and clear crystal chips just need to find some more toolsin the ground.
