BRAZOS RIVER

gOOGLE . . . BRAZOS RIVER ARTIFACTS. . SmileyCentral.com

Re: BRAZOS RIVER

Hal, very interesting article about the Harrell site near Graham, over 100,000 artfacts found. For all you diggers in that part of the country this will really give you the FEVER!!!!

Re: BRAZOS RIVER

Read about that siTe mid last week. I think someone could walk from my dig site to the Harrell site in less than a full day of summer sun. alot of the artifacts found at the harrell site are pretty much inline with what we find North of Mineral Wells. I just do not want any Government employees digging up my place. I would much rather dig with friends or myself. Or anyone who wants to pay me

Re: BRAZOS RIVER

Hey Hal and Leonard, I have been out of touch with computer problems. I have been to the Harrell Site. It's just 100' across the river from the ranch my inlaws have ran since the 30's. It's pretty much all waist high grass now. No digging permitted! Good sandbar in the river though, where the Clear Fork and the Brazos converge at the site. From what I have gathered most of the site is high above the river which is still prone to major flooding. I hope to check it out after deer season. Allen Warren

Re: BRAZOS RIVER

Welcome back to the world Allen

Seems that Harrell site is well known up thataway. If it's large and rich in flint artifacts...Maybe they
are the population trading food for goods....
Like from the famous " L " mano manufacturing camp.
