Hurricane Ike in Galveston

I have a friend working in Galveston on the hurricane Ike cleanup, and he said he heard there was an old camp uncovered by the storm surge. He's going to ask around, but I thought I'd post here in case anyone else has heard anything similar.

Re: Hurricane Ike in Galveston

I would really enjoy sifting through sand. Seems like it would be easy to do. Especially if it were dry

Re: Hurricane Ike in Galveston

Hey I live just north of Galveston am pretty much interested and would like to go sift have my on sifter and tools. If its true about the camp any info would be great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: Hurricane Ike in Galveston

I would imagine that there were many campsites disturbed from that storm. Where I hunt in Conroe, TX, after Ike, points started popping up left and right. I'd definitely be interested in looking at a campsite by the coast.

Re: Hurricane Ike in Galveston

Ever hunt around Stewart Creek?
