Re: Baby Paleo?

sweet

Re: Baby Paleo?

K, you seem to have got your titles mixed up with Nates posting today !
See " MORE HELP PLEASE ". . .Thats likely a " baby Paleo "

Your beauty is more like teenager in size and just with a side by side comparison sure looks like a WELLS. If anyone else cuncurs, early archaic.

Its so close to Paleo not many are found [ or in that good a condition ]

Great find ! What county ?

Re: Baby Paleo?

Found in Fayette Co. Several other Paleo were found. A Plainview Drill, Hell Gap and several others that I'm not sure what they are. This point has the flute and has base grinding as you would expect. I have several others that have heavy base grounding and I am not sure what they are. I will post some pics later today. I really like this point because of its small size and it doesn't have the classic look of a Folsum, Plainview, Hell Gap etc...your standard Paleo. It actually didn't hit me that it was Paleo until I examined it closer. It just went into the pile with the other points that day.

Re: Baby Paleo? And Maybe Paleo? Please help

Re: Baby Paleo?

These were found in the same spot as the Baby Paleo. Fayette Co.)
The bases are heavily ground. No fluting on either.
Can anyone identify these?

Re: Baby Paleo?

Maybe Hoxie, early archaic like the Wells you posted.

Re: Baby Paleo?

Definately Darl type points, darl stemmed & hoxie.
