Re: NACHO'S DIG UPDATES FROM 2-9-09 IS HERE ! CHECK UM OUT!
Every new scoop of fresh dirt on the screen is like having a big Christmas present begging to be opened.
Ike uses a counter to keep track of how many scoops got scooped. 46 on our visit, two tables.
Suggestion for amateur hobbyists [ not hardcore money diggers ]. . .
Force yourself to take pictures of things of interest during the day. It's tough to tear away from opening that dirt package but if you dont, all your going to come away with is a frame of rocks !
Badger & SH's Nacho adventure started with breakfast and didn't end til the traditional " after dig celebration Champagne guzzle "
Re: NACHO'S DIG UPDATES FROM 2-9-09 IS HERE ! CHECK UM OUT!
3/4 of the way down on your finds on Nacho's site is a reddish pink point in the center of the pic. Is that a carrizo point or just a knife that's broken with a basal notch? From the picture it looks like a classic carrizo.
Re: NACHO'S DIG UPDATES FROM 2-9-09 IS HERE ! CHECK UM OUT!
Te, Buddy found that red point. He was hopeing for a Carrizo but it was ruled out because of the flaking
[ close up ] its very thin, I think he just left it as a lancellet type.

SH, I was hoping Buddy would become a proud member of the elite carrizo club. As I recall, carrizo points were thought to be reworked knives or Texas blades. Doesn't seem they are as prominent north of SA. Best collection I've seen of carrizo's is the Garner Museum in Uvalde. Sweet point to find on Valentines Day..
