I have permission to dig on five different places in gonzales county and all of which I have found points on the surface.so should I dig right where i find the points and should I find shell or snail shells under the ground at every place there was a camp?

We dont hear much about Gonzales county but all of TX was " heavily " populated at one time. I'm sure we would all be interested is seeing what type of points you have already found.
