what are these?

I found these on an oil field lease in the same area where i have found several points. They were a few feet apart and half buried. Does anyone have any idea what they might be? Could they be some kind of indian game balls or maybe a couple of antique marbles?

Possible game balls or old marbles. The one in the nmiddle is most likely an authentic penny.

at first glance you would think the penny is authentic, but it is actually counterfeit. I've been passing them all over town.

The fact that you found those pieces in an oil filed may be a clue. Both pieces appear to be about 1.5" in diameter and they may have been the ceramic components in ball valves.

In line with what Redman says, used to have back pressure valves installed on oil wells to maintain constant pressure to help keep wells from pumping off..in the 80's used stainless then advanced to ceramic...
