green point?

Anyone ever come across a green point? Found this weekend, just surface hunting at my ranch...we had great rain!!! yeah!... the no visible knapping... just not sure why its green.. i've never found any rock this color out there before.

Travertine? is a greenish rock in this area maybe.

Travertine in south tx??.. weird.. .. thanks for your reply.. i'll try and get some better pictures.. that was with a camera phone.... would there be anything in the ground that would cause this rock to turn green, if it wasn't travertine?...

its more of the color of the 3000 yr old knife on the front page of austindiggers... not so deep green~..

How about GLAUCKENITE. . . or a COPPER SULFIDE ?

Since it's "Indian country" , it could have been brought in from anywhere as "something of interest "

On the otherhand, it might be the tip of a huge JADE deposit !
