ok sorry , it was on cbs news online , and archiologists is pleading guilty to stealing bones , he has been digging on federal land for years and has admited to stealing some of the bones he dug to sale them , says he is facing 10 years . just thought it was ironic lol
The case referred to here involves a self-taught paleontologist (not an archaeologist) who excavated
rare fossil remains on Federal Property in 2006...valued at $150K-$400K. He directed a private
dinosaur "research" center, yet he removed the fossils without a permit, apparently tried to sell them, has already plead guilty to a state felony (5 years probation), and is awaiting
trial on related issues in Federal court. A real
stand-up guy...
