BT, I dont know how to convert all those words and numbers to a picture but it sounds like something special.
Sight unseen. . . I suggest you take your gardening tools up there next visit.
If their yard is anything like Hester's front walkway ,
You have hit the Jackpot [ again ! ]
I got a very interesting spinoff benefit from your posting ! When you asked about a possible midden in the back yard at Hubbard, I went to the "TEXAS FIELD GUIDE TO ALL MIDDENS AND INDIAN CAMPS"
When my finger stopped at Hubbard. . . there, just on the right side of a hangnail, , , was a town called TEHUACANA !
What a coincidence, we have a professional gambler and flinter with that same name that posts his finds [ and winnings].
I Googled "TEHUACANA TEXAS" WOW, what history asside from laying claim to being the HIGHEST POINT on a line drawn from Dallas to Houston.
More "coincidence", the opening photo credit [ of the post office], listed the photo by Te !
Population listed at 600 early 20th C. . .to 275 late 20th C . Maybe our Te is one of those that escaped !
Tehuacana creek in southern Medina co. and the Indian cemetary near the Frio/Medina co. line. Some interesting story there. Flicker (the wife) has had family in the area dating back to the early 1800's.

Kind of a long story, but real interesting for history buffs like me. After reading it, I have a better idea about the gun flint(s) I found.
Just wish we were as lucky as Black Toe to even think about a midden.
Beware if you find something nice in that little hole, the bug bites real hard, and it gets in your blood fast.........but you'll know what to do, so Good Luck!
Well if your serious about discovering a new untouched midden to surprise hubby when he gets home, you have two possibilities.
1. Back to where the point was found [ very nice find incidentally ] look for more surface indicators.; ; ;
Flint flakes, snails, fire rock ! Scratch a few test holes [ easiest way to do test holes is to take your little girls on an "Easter egg hunt" then point out likely places they might find a chocolate egg about
2 feet down.]
Option #2 requires no physical effort at all::
Just take another pic like the top one but remove the flint so we can read the adress !
Immagine Hubby's delighted surprise when he comes home and finds that you have found a new midden all by yourself, along with 300 of your closest internet digger buddies !
In case it's not the midden find of a lifetime, you might consider getting more serious about surface hunting [ good family event if the girls are old enough to walk ]
Surface hunters all over TX are reporting "new" finds from the recent rains. Yours may have been one that was uncovered just recently. Start with any drainages you can get into.
Incidently, you might look under deadwood trees and small rock shelters for Easter bunny stashes yourself.
Some Bunnies have been known to hide a colorfull plastic eggs with DIAMOND EARINGS inside !
Also A friend of mine just bought some land in Gorgetown and by the creek after 3 days in the same hole found these, so I am also going to go down there very soon!
Whoa. . . EVERYBODY knows the Georgetown area ! All good "stuff" with gorgeous material.
That top middle pt is getting pretty close to a JETTA, fairly rare, anywhere. And that second row left is probably a KINNEY but that base is also looking like something else much more rare !
Git yo gardening tools an git down there ASAP,
[ Add Some Archaic Points { to your frames } ]
thoe are very nice finds , the one you found at your friends is very nice also , i agree with Hal get them tools and go have a blast , we cant do much around here , have this freak snow storm thingie going on here lol.
