Tommy and I sent some points off to Dr. G, he emailed me last night and has shipped them back. He knew I could not wait to see them so he emailed me the pic. I SOOO cant wait to see them. I think he did a great job
YA-hooo, what a great interesting report, almost not to mention spectacular flintwork...SU-perB .
Ive seen quite a bit of the Doc's work, what ALWAYS gets me is not just the flawless color match and
"flaking " but the INCLUSIONS [ or original flint imperfections.]
Your tippy top best example, re-checkout the new part of the Castroville base tang. . . . . . Just lookit
those ity bitty white things !
Black Toe. . . . You must be Psycic !. . . Just today I dug a Montell so narrow left to right I thought the factory could not have made any more like it.
It was perfectly point DOWN and when I saw a thin & narrow mud filled base, I thought it was a Lousy
Fairland ! Pulled it up and it kept. . . going . . . and . . . .going & going !!!!
3 7/8 th inches of it. No pics happened too fast !
Point is, your newly fixed Montell is very narrow also [ so I dont have a once in a lifetime one of a kind ] Maybe we're just new members of the " NARROW MONTELL CLUB "
Had to use a deer jaw for scale [ couldnt find the whole deer.]
I plan to get the slight imperfections fixed at Hernando's body & Bondo shop [ I got no flint
health insurance ]
